2. Congrats to Alex Briggs and Nick Tyler who both had outstanding performances over the February vacation.
Nick Tyler won the State Championship pole vault competition with a jump of 14'00", new school record. This is just shy of his all time best from last outdoor season. A sign of a very good outdoor season to come!
Alex Briggs place 5th in the New England Weight Throw Competition with a heave of 63'7", new school record. That is his best ever and moves him up again on the national rankings.
3. Congrats to to the girls 4x200 and 4x400 teams that competed at the New England Championships last Friday. They set new school records and improved their seed rankings. The 4x200 was Jessica Kaufman, Hannah Petrie, Leah Hibbad, and Mariah Kaiser, they ran 1:48.74 and placed 14th in N.E.! The 4x400 was Leah Hibbad, Jessica Kaufman, Natalie Yaw, and Mariah Kasier, they ran 4:10.50 and placed 15th in N.E.!
Lastly, Congrats and Good Luck to those athletes that will be competing at the New Balance Indoor Track and Field Nationals this Friday March 9th in New York City!
